The Botanical Park is a great area of impressive natural beauty, nearly 20 hectares on a beautiful well-designed planted hillside at the foot of the White Mountains. The Botanical Park’s history starts in 2003, after a huge destructive fire burnt down the entire area. Four brothers with love and passion for their patrimonial village and fields turned this disaster into a constructive plan to fulfill their dream: to treasure, share and educate about the gifts of Cretan nature. Walking around you will come across hundreds of different fruit trees, herbs and ornamental plants. The walk may vary from 1 to 2 hours to follow the paths on the great hillside to experience this unique setting. After your walk, you can enjoy a delicious typical Greek lunch with fresh ingredients from their own gardens!
