Milos Island from Rethymno Port - Boat Ticket Only
Shaped by its volcanic past, the extraordinary colors and unique natural beauty, white rock formations and indigo blue seawaters in the background of Milos offer stunning views and the perfect setting for a wonderful visit.
The comfortable journey by high-speed vessel brings you to the Port of Adamas. Your included land-excursion begins at the iconic lunar-like Sarakiniko beach, renowned for its white volcanic rock formations and crystal-clear waters — a perfect spot for exploration, photography and a refreshing swim. Enjoy a brief photostop at the Aggeria Mines, one of the world’s largest bentonite and perlite mines, offering a glimpse into the island’s geological and industrial heritage. Relax in the fishing village of Pollonia, ideal for a seaside stroll, a swim or lunch by the water. Next we continue to the hilltop village of Plaka, the capital of Milos! After a stroll through its scenic, narrow alleys leading to the church of Panagia Korfiatissa, you will have free time to enjoy the little streets filled with traditional Cycladic houses and take in stunning panoramic views. The final stop for the remaining time is Adamas is the vibrant seaside town and main port of Milos, with shops and cafes along the waterfront and the Church of Agios Haralambos, before embarking on the vessel to return back to Crete.
EXTRA An optional stop at the Catacombs of Milos, an ancient underground Christian cemetery, is available at an additional cost (in this case the stay in Plaka will be shortened). Boat tickets (by high-speed vessel) and Milos land-tour are included, with departures every Friday and Sunday from Rethymno Port.
