Our tour begins at the historic site where the tombs of the Venizelos family are located, also well known for the magnificent panoramic view over the whole city of Chania. You can find there the tiny church which is very popular amongst locals for weddings, baptisms or just to light a candle! We leave to touch the roots of Orthodoxy in Crete by visiting the Monastery of the Holy Trinity (Agia Triada), a monastery built in the 17th century by the Venetians. Surrounded by a high wall and well-preserved buildings, including the main church, a dining hall, and monk cells. The next stop is a literal travel in time as we walk the same paths that the first monks at the Gouverneto Monastery walked 500 years ago. This is a monastery built literally inside a rock! We complete our tour with a dive into the turquoise waters of Loutraki or Marathi beach!
